Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Music Composed by Graeme Revell Streetfighter, one of the most popular video games ever, generating over two billion dollars world-wide, is now a major motion picture from Universal Pictures. Shadaloo, Southeast Asia, 1995. As the Shadaloo civil war enters its seventh month, Warlord General M. Bison (Raul Julia) brings the crisis to the brink of global conflict when he takes 63 Allied Nations relief workers hostage. Unless he is paid twenty billion dollars, he will execute them in 72 hours. Colonel William F. Guile (Jean-Claude Van Damme) is given the mission to rescue the hostages, but his Allied Forces Unit can't strike until he discovers the location of the Bison's secret fortress. With the help of two down-on-their-luck street fighters, Ken Masters and Ryu Hoshi, Guile and his British Intelligence Officer, Cammy, concoct a daring plan to infiltrate the Shadaloo Crime Tong led by Bison's arms supplier, Viktor Sagat. As the crisis builds, the wild-card becomes Chin-Li (Ming-Na Wen) the Global News Television reporter whose mysterious agenda may be more than just getting the story. Making his feature film directorial debut is one of Hollywood's top action writers, Steven de Souza, whose credits include 48 Hours, Die Hard, Die Hard 2, Beverly Hills Cop 3, The Flintstones and the release Judge Dreddstarring Sylvester Stallone.
The wildly exotic and experimental score for STREET FIGHTER was composed by Graeme Revell, who earlier this year had a tremendous success with his music for The Crow. Revell's strikingly original music is generating much attention for the composer of such scores as The Hand That Rocks The Cradle and Hard Target.
