Changing Lanes

On his way to court to represent his high-powered law firm, Gavin Banek (Ben Affleck) is weaving through heavy traffic. In a different lane, is Doyle Gipson (Samuel L. Jackson), not a lawyer, but on his way to another courtroom to prove he is a changed man and a good father worthy of the right to see his children. They are two men desperate to succeed for very different reasons - one is struggling to reach the top of his career, the other is struggling away from rock bottom. And now, a minor accident will change the lives of both of these men, systematically revealing how very thin the mask of human decency is, and how close beneath the surface lurks the beast within us all. It's New York in the 21st century, and a person's life can be completely decimated by a well-placed phone call or the simple touch of "Enter" on a computer keyboard.

Paramount Pictures presents a new film from the director of Notting Hill. The gritty, urban score to this suspense thriller in which a minor auto accident triggers a chain of events that forces two strangers to become vicious antagonists is by British composer David Arnold. Arnold's previous scores include Independence Day, Stargate and Shaft.
