The wife (Pfeiffer) of a college genetics professor (Ford) in Vermont starts seeing strange visions of a woman who might or might not be a ghost. Specifically, it appears to be the ghost of a woman that the professor had an affair with, and now, she's possessing his wife's body.

WHAT LIES BENEATH is a romantic mystery from Robert Zemeckis (FORREST GUMP, The BACK TO THE FUTURE Trilogy, WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT?), one of the most successful directors of our time and features two of today's biggest stars in film.
