How could we not complete our enormous chronicle of Bill Conti’s sprawling score for North and South? After our elaborate 4-CD boxed set release of the epic pre-war years of North and South, we now follow and conclude our edition by adding three more CDs of Conti’s dramatic conclusion and scoring of the civil war years in North and South: Book II. We consider this now two-volume release of Bill Conti’s magnum opus to be among our greatest and most exciting releases and are so thrilled to bookend our 30th anniversary year with the historic release of this very special score.

Based on the novel by John Jakes, North and South starred Patrick Swayze, James Read, Lesley-Anne Down, Wendy Kilbourne, Kirstie Alley, Jean Simmons, Terri Garber, Genie Francis and Davis Carradine, along with such guest stars as James Stewart, Olivia De Havilland, Hal Holbrook and Wayne Newton. The story followed the lives of two friends, Orry Main and George Hazard, who met at West Point Academy, during the Civil War.
